My first [a:Nova Weetman|7796978|Nova Weetman|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1627266107p2/7796978.jpg] novel. Perfectly pitched at years 5-7 with the transition from primary to high school. Really lovely drawing of young characters.
have read a number of novels by Australian author, Nova Weetman, and I think she writes great books for middle-school readers. However, I didn't think this one was up to the standard I usually expect from this author. Although "The Haunting of Lily Frost" was a quick read, I wasn't a fan of Lily. She made silly decisions and was often stubborn, grumpy and annoying. The plot was predictable and the ending felt rushed. A bland read.
