This book is quite old, but it taught me how to choose the best ingredients and gave me pointers I couldn't find online. I absolutely recommend it to gourmands. In fact, everyone. Why buy something awful when you can educate yourself and buy the real stuff?

This book tells this history of Artisan cheese in Wisconsin. A collectible limited edition handmade chapbook printed on sustainably-forested paper.

I think the recipes in this one are actually unnecessary. It's much more useful for the how-to-choose parts. Also not a fan of the illustrations, but that's incidental and no reason to get a hate-on for it. An ok book, but a good resource, if that makes sense.

A delightful book. This could have been a cheesy, hokey book about bacon with some cruddy recipes, weird pictures and the like. Instead it's a very fun read by an author who not surprisingly loves food. Quirky and zany with lots of interesting information about bacon for the foodie. I'm going to seek out some other books by the author since I'm not likely to get a chance to visit Zingerman's myself any time soon. Glad I picked up the book.

This book made me smile, which is something books about food too often forget to do.… (mehr)
