This book breaks down the different kinds of energy that are surrounded by us on a daily basis. It gives examples of what different energy looks like allowing for students to get a clear understanding of what that is. It has real life pictures giving more examples of what the energy can be. I like this book because it breaks down the different energy sources and allows students to fully understand what kinds of energy their are. I think it would be better if there was more pictures rather than words because it can make it more confusing and overwhelming for students. In the classroom, I would use this in an energy unit and allow students to design their own energy creation. This is an informational book talking about all the different forces of our world such as pull, push, roll, slide and others. This book would be a good introduction paired with live experiments that relate to the different ways force is applied in a lesson series about physics.

This book is great because it has a table of contents with the topics of each page, a glossary, and provides a variety of other books kids can read about energy. This book does a great job at relating the topic energy to their lives in a meaningful way. For example, the first section is titled "Energy All Around" and it provides a few examples including running water, racing cars, sprinters, etc. I could use this book as a read aloud as an introdoctory on a unit about energy. This book also includes a variety of illustrations that will help students make connections with what they are reading and be able to use their prior knowledge as well.… (mehr)

A child friendly informative book about energy, including why humans need energy and where they get it, forms of energy, and conservation. This would be a valuable resource to have at hand during lessons on various types of energy, or could be used as a pre-read for these lessons to build background knowledge. *Information may now be incorrect due to advancements since publication*
