The taxonomic names have now all gone through quite an upheaval, due to genetic studies, so the usefulness of this book has been somewhat superceded. Sometimes, however, it is handy to have a print copy when access to online sources is not available as this contains protected status for those special plant.
The checklist begins with Ferns & Fern Allies, then Gymnosperms (commonly known as Evergreens), and finally the many Angiosperms (flowering plants) listed alphabetically by genus.
Plants are indexed separately by latin names and by common names, and there is a bibliography.… (mehr)
