- Patti Wigington has been practicing as a Pagan since 1987. She is a High Priestess in her home state of OH, and is the founder of Clan of the Stone Circle, a Celtic Pagan tradition. In 2007, Patti joined About.com as the Paganism & Wicca Expert. Perfect Balance
I found that Wicca Practical Magic held a perfect balance of teaching magic and the art of ritual. I would recommend this book to both beginner and expert. I loved the websites listed, the books listed and the way the references were listed. Made them all easy to find and research further if needed.

Good info on genealogy, fairly generic approach to ancestors
I just couldn't connect with the author's writing style. I'm sure it's just a reflection of preference and not of content, though.

Recommendation: This book’s holistic approach makes it a one-stop book for a baby witch that wants to use their craft for self-care and well-being. I marked a LOT of the practices, rituals and remedies to come back to when needed and all appeared to be practical for baby and experienced witches. I also appreciate that the author put a focus on the reader making sure they understood their own needs and desires (via self relfection) in order to find self-care practices that would beneficial. I definitely will be keeping this book in my print collection.… (mehr)
