Took me a short while to get into it. The small print didn't help. Improved the more I read.

Evangeline was an unusually bright and curious woman for the times. Being wealthy allowed her the freedom to do the things, like teach at Hull House, that she wanted to do. She investigates the strange death of one of her favorite students, Elsa and learns more than she expected.

Good read that shines light on how the wealthy, especially men took advantage of those with less resources, especially women.… (mehr)

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. This is Book 3 in The Arkana Series. Once again we meet Cassie, Griffin, Erik, Faye and Maddie. What is their quest this time? To find a mythological relic called The Sage Stone. Not only do they have to find this stone before the Nephilim, the Nephilim are a religious cult of sorts with compounds all over the world so they have many associates, but they must do so quickly and unseen. There’s a slight problem, Hannah Metcalf, one of Abraham Metcalf’s many wives, has shown up on Cassie’s doorstep for refuge. Can they find this artifact before the Nephilim? Has Hannah put Cassie’s life at risk?

This was an amazing thrill-ride that kept me on the edge of my seat! I love the fact that there was a riddle to decipher. The characters are so interesting, and of course Cassie, the main character was just so sweet. She’s still trying to find herself yet cares so much about her friends. I loved how Hannah’s naivety showed up even in parts I didn’t think of. N. S. Wikarski is an excellent storyteller! This was an awesome Historical Adventure, now I can’t wait for book 4!

This is one of those books I probably could have passed on, but I was intrigued…by the cover and title. Dan Brown is not a favorite author of mine and Lucifer’s Triangle by N S Wikarski is similar to his work.

Jerusalem – City of Peace. That is a misnomer if I have ever heard one. The constant battle for turf has taken many lives.

Cassie was becoming bored and figured this would be her last mission. I do love a strong female lead, and Cassie fits the bill. Her boyfriend, Griffin is fine with boring.

Cassie has a talent, she gets more than impressions from objects. She, literally, walks in the owners footsteps..

When I read a book like Lucifer’s Triangle by N S Wikarski, I am always curious about how much research was done and how factual some aspects of the story are.

Lucifer’s Triangle by N S Wikarski is Book One of The Trove Chronicles, but the mention of a Nephilim War had me confused. Is this series a spinoff?

Lucifer’s Triangle by N S Wikarski is pretty much what I expected it to be once I got into it. It is well written, with well developed characters, mystery and intrigue, but I felt no urgency, nothing that I hadn’t read before.

If you are a Dan Brown fan, you will probably love this, so don’t be discouraged by my take on the novel.

I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of Lucifer’s Triangle by N S Wikarski.

1893 Chicago and the body of Elsa Bauer has been found in a hotel room. Heiress Evangeline LeClair believes that the police have the wrong person in custody and enlists the help of her close friend Freddie Simpson to discover the truth.
A well-written mystery with some developed characters made for an interesting read and will look forward to reading the next in the series.
