This book is surrounded around Freddy who is Diesel's little brother. Freddy saw dreams of being rich and didn't go about it the right way and left his girlfriend Myla with the mess. Myla already decided to leave Freddy before he disappeared but when she was threatened she knew she had to find Diesel. She and Diesel got to know each other when he was in jail and their connection grew from the letters they would exchange back and forth. That connection was reinforced the 1st time they met in person. Diesel is this big alpha man whore who's dark and dangerous but shows Myla he can also be sweet, nice, and caring. Myla can't help but fall for him and be conflicted because he's Freddy's brother and she needs to start her life all over again. When all the secrets and the truth start coming out as they try to find Freddy before it's too late Diesel learns someone in his club is tied into it also and Myla might be the one person to know who.
I gave it a 4-star rating and a 4-spicy rating. I enjoyed the friendship that turned into love between Diesel and Myla. For what they went through they needed each other's shoulders and compassion to pull through all the guilt they both felt. We only got to see the other ol' ladies once which was not enough because they're so awesome. Myla really needed the ladies to pull her out of her shell. Throughout most of the book, Myla spends the whole time in Diesel's room and only communicates with him. Even when hurt no other member would talk to her and ask her if she was ok or what happened. I didn't understand that about the book. For the men it was respectful not to talk to her cause she was with Diesel or his 'guest' but to me, it was disrespectful to her. Rag's book is up next I saw and I can't wait to dive into that one.
