Kurzbiographie
Mary J. Williams is an author from Washington State who went to school in a small town on the Columbia River. She loves writing, reading, and football. She always wanted to write a novel and she always knew it would be a romance novel. But it wasn’t until her favorite football team lost the Super Bowl on the last play with an interception, that this dream began to come to fruition. She was so depressed that she tuned out all the media. Without television, internet, or newspapers, she had nothing else to do, so she sat down and started writing. Her first romance series, Harper Falls contains four books. Mary has released two new series in 2016, Hollywood Legends and One Pass Away (which combines her love of football with her love of romance).

Rose is a creative person. As a gifted songwriter, she has had a hand in penning many catchy tunes and some heartbreaking ones as well. What no one realizes is that her artistry allows her to purge emotions that she has kept buried inside. Her writing gives her the anonymity to vent in solitude but lay bare her feelings to the world. Having spent most of her life trying to outrun painful memories from her childhood, Rose decides loneliness is better than heartache. Meeting Jack leaves her scared and questioning all her misgivings about love. If I Loved You by Mary J. Williams is a lovely story that touches the heart and has one believing in the healing power of love.… (mehr)

There's an intenseness to Ms. Williams stories. She never holds anything back. From character flaws to heartache and tragedy, it's all exposed with a rawness and sincerity that is identifiable and emotional. Her gift of humanizing is what keeps me coming back and that quality is put on full display in For a Little While. Young love is a beautiful thing, but when life challenges and human imperfections creep in, it can implode really quickly. Can Blue and Spencer learn to forgive and put their hearts on the line for a second chance?… (mehr)

The pov abrupt changes threw me off a bit but this was a solid story with an adorable sweet hero. If you like Jill Shalvis (but with not as strong an editor) then this would be in your ballpark. It's an Indie, free on Kindle Unlimited and .99 for Kindle, definitely worth the asking price.

Thanks to Mary for the recommendation.
