The artists drawings and details is what makes this general book on mammals stand out above others from this time period. Includes detailed black and orangish drawings of animal homes including, beavers, bears, prairie dogs. Simple readable text for younger grades, but not short choppy sentences either. This OOP book is a definite jewel for nature studies, but difficult to find.

A very nice introduction into the world of insects for children. This explains their habits, needs and effect on our environment and makes for nice reading.
