Bravo to Dr. Woodard and Mrs. Milch for saying what has long needed to be said in the world of education: life long learners are built through engaging children in meaningful play. As an educator I found this book to not only be informative in its pedagogy, but to be instructive as well. The beautiful illustrations, re-printable classroom tools and endless "lists" of classroom ideas make this a goldmine for any teacher. I think all teachers, no matter the experience level, should read this book. This is not about testing,though the techniques and ideas will help students connect with the common core.
