This was a very interesting book and I liked it as much as anyone can like an informational book. The language was very clear and concise with the details of how crayons are made, but the pictures really helped the reader to visualize the text. On one page where the book talks about the table with crayon-shaped molds on it, there were also several pictures that showed in a chronological order how the process of making crayons in a factory goes. For a nonfiction book, the pictures were really helpful and clear to the reader. There were also some fun tidbits that made it more fun to read about, like the little "Colorful Crayola Facts" section in had on page 31: "If you put all the crayons that Crayola produces in a year together, you'd have one giant crayon 37 feet wide and 120 feet taller than the Statue of Liberty!" The book went through the whole process of how a crayon is made, from the wax and color all the way through to being boxed and shipped off to stores.… (mehr)
