Advertisement text (4, 11, 25 January): "Savannah, December 27, 1768.
To be sold at publick vendue, pursuant to the last will and testament of William Simpson, Esq. deceased, at his late dwelling-house in Savannah, on Thursday the 9th of February next, THE SAID DWELLING HOUSE AND OUT-HOUSES, too well known, for their goodness and agreeable situation, either to want a description or recommendation. For the convenience of the puchasers, the land adjoining the buildings will be divided into different sized lots, and sold separately.
At the same time and place will be sold, and divided into two tracts of land containing six hundred acres each, A PLANTATION within two miles of Savannah, known by the name of Sabean [Sabine] Fields, exceeding good land for corn, rice, and indigo; 250 acres of which is cleared and well fenced.—Also, SOME VALUABLE NEGROES, A SMALL STOCK OF CATTLE, HORSES, HOGS, PLANTATION TOOLS, A VARIETY OF HOUSEHOLD FURNITURE, SOME USEFUL PIECES OF PLATE, AND A VALUABLE COLLECTION OF BOOKS.
The conditions of the sale will be credit for all sums above five pounds sterling to the first of January 1770, paying interest from the day of sale, and giving approved security to JOHN SIMPSON, Executor.
Who desires all persons having any demands against the estate of the above deceased to send in their accounts properly attested, and those indebted to the said estate are requested to settle immediately."
