I see this as a unique opportunity to reach out to you folks so I’m going to take it.

You’ll see some nice reviews of Rode below. They’ll tell you it’s not a POS, but won’t necessarily tell you whether you’ll like it or not. If you’re entering a contest, you sure as heck want to have a decent chance of being happy with the prize package, and as I feel like I’m in the best position to help ensure that, let me mention a few additional things:

1) I’ve listed the book under LGBTQ+ fiction, and it is brought to you, in part, by the letter B, but even though sexuality is explored, it’s probably best defined as literary coming of age fiction.

2) The main character in this story spends a lot of time being lost before he gets found. There were times in my life when I couldn’t get enough of these types of wayward characters, but others when I wouldn’t have had the patience for them, so there’s that.

3) While the bulk of the book is composed of adventure taking and people meeting, there is a point in the story where things get pretty dark, and with all that’s been happening in the world, you might not have an appetite for further trouble in your reading.
