I've just begun on librarything. Hope to share what I'm reading now and what I want to read and why-- with the exception of my favorites. What I learn, what inspires me, what is brilliant, compelling, true and generous.

Books rule! My earliest memories of books: my parents' library; a book about a lobster; a book called Courage and Valor that filled me with heroic ideas; Mom reading us the Oz books in Richmond, VA; Little Women; a hint of danger in the library, such as Forever Amber, Eugene O'Neil, Peyton Place. My best friends are books (except for my dogs). My silent partners. My inspiration on a bad day. My wisdom. My handsome book jackets. My thrill every time I enter a book store or a library, no matter how many times.
