Über mich
The Community Care Centre is a place for George Brown College students who care about equity - and each other.

Through vibrant physical spaces, non-judgmental peer supports, accessible resources/services, and unique programming we strengthen students to live their whole selves with dignity in the classroom and beyond.

Health & wellness approach includes prioritizing historically underrepresented and marginalized students.
Student equity groups from these communities:
• Black
• First Nations, Inuit, Métis
• Disabilities
• International/Racialized
• LGBTQ+
• Women & Trans

SAMPLE OFFERINGS:
• Community Centre: space for hanging out and socializing.
• Equity Programming: events, workshops, and discussion groups on issues impacting student struggle.
• Harm Reduction, Consent, and Collective Care activism
• Referrals and Peer Supports: a safer space
• Resources: offering health & wellness supplies: from stocking free condoms, lubes, menstrual products, pregnancy tests, care goods, etc.
• Actions: As funded, Community Action Centre builds student capacity around external campaigns, including government cuts to education.
