I am a library thing-beginner, therefore this library will be a very small part of my real library. At home I store novels in alphabetical order, but many of my favourite books are not in my bookshelf because I found them in the public library and later bought them but then gave them away as gifts.

I like reading and writing. While reading I do not count words but as a writer I am very proud to be a five-time winner of nanowrimo (national novel writing month). I am the founder and academic director of the writing center at European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder), Germany. At the moment I live in Madison, Wisconsin as a visiting scholar at the UW Madison Writing Center.
