Beckwith's small library is listed in the inventory of his estate (PDF), entered in the record books in July 1790. Unfortunately most of the titles are not given.

Sir Marmaduke Beckwith (January 1687-1780), Virginia merchant and served as County Clerk for Richmond County from 1709 until his death. Born and educated in Yorkshire, Beckwith emigrated to Virginia around 1700. There he married Elizabeth Brockenbrough Dickson, a young widow, in 1716. He became a baronet on the death of his brother in 1743.
