In October, 2012, I published my first book, Holding Breath: A Memoir of AIDS' Wildfire Days, which is an account of my relationship with one of my clients when I was a caseworker for people with AIDS in New York in the late 1980's. I've also done a great deal of travel writing for publications such as National Geographic Traveler, Coastal Living, the inflight magazines for Continental (now United), Delta, and Southwest Airlines, etc. I've been writing for pretty much my entire life, and attended the graduate program in Creative Writing/Poetry at NYU.

My reading tastes are quite eclectic; I just have to be in the right mood to read something.
