Über meine Bibliothek

My home library is a scary place of wall-to-wall shelves, books in piles that no longer fit on the shelves, books on top of shelves, books under coffee tables, books everywhere! There are far too many to add to my LT library. There is a wide range of genres in my home library. I'd like to focus my online reading groups on historical romance, so I've added some of my most recently read books (as in only within the past year) and exclusively in the HR genre.

I'm a novelist and an avid reader. My debut novel in the historical romance genre hit shelves on Nov. 1, which is one of the most exciting and frightening times in a writer's life, I think!

I'm an eclectic person who loves dabbling in new things, always eager to learn something new. I raise butterflies, putter in my pollinator garden daily, care for a much too large collection of orchids and exotic plants, and (however incongruous this sounds) race and restore classic cars.

I'm a little obsessed with the idea of a happily ever after, but I'm too much of a realist to believe a HEA is always perfect and occurs in a single moment of time, such as a wedding. I love reading (and writing) stories that show a different kind of HEA, an HEA with a happiness you find within yourself as well as with someone else that's worth fighting for and working to maintain. I love when a book I'm reading shows that the couple has reached a point in their relationship where nothing will part them, and they will do what they need to do to be together. This is my kind of HEA.
