- This legacy library supplemented a 2013 Masters thesis by Meghan Hughes titled: "Books as Social Currency: the library of Robert Coupland Harding and the field of book collecting in New Zealand 1880-1920."
This legacy library was focused on the New Zealand-related books section in the auction catalogue. - Über mich
- Robert Coupland Harding (1849-1916) was New Zealand's first typographer, and a printer of international renown for his publication "Typo: A Monthly Journal and Literary Review" (1887-1897). Harding also amassed a private book collection of over 5000 works. His library was auctioned in 1920, and the only extant archives recording his collection was the auction catalogue.
