I am a retired public librarian with an interest in local history, genealogy, narrative journalism, and archiving. I read a lot of fiction and enjoy small coastal towns, sometimes at the same time, which is my idea of heaven. In my spare time I write poetry and short stories, do collage with old images, enjoy classical and big band swing music, and peruse retro/vintage home, advertising, fruit label, postcard, ephemera, and fashion sites. All of these interests keep me out of trouble. (Well, at least most of the time.)
