Prior to graduating as an engineer from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, I spent a couple of years in the USMC, and worked in Los Angeles while attending night school. My hometown is Venice, California.

Bruce Catton, Kenneth Roberts, HG Wells, Jules Verne, Winston Churchill, Richard McKenna, MacKinlay Cantor, Kenneth Dodson remain some of my favorite authors.
