Über meine Bibliothek
I keep a list of my book-purchases in an Excel file, and I have done so since 2006, thereabouts (my old entries are on another hard drive). As of today--1/23/2014-- I have about 1,656 books (although any official tally will need to disregard any books I have given away to family, and those which I have picked up for free).
Über mich
My Name is Andrew Grafton, I've collected books since 2005.

My first foray into collecting old books was to purchase old textbooks from the 1870's, 1880's, and 1890's. I got many of my early purchases from Acres of Books, in Long Beach, a bookstore that is, sadly, gone. Since then, I have hopefully gained in my book collecting knowledge, and sense of literary and monetary value, although bargains leech away much of my avalible cash--cash which could be spent on "the good stuff" I find a bookstores and bookfairs.

During the lat week of May and the first week of June, I, my dad, and brother went to Europe, to briefly explore three cities. Our first stop was London; second, Paris; third, Rome. I liked London the best, obviously: the bookstores; Dr. Johnson's house; the pubs and modern restaurants; the plethora of Fish and Chips and Sausage and Mash (NOT "Bangers and Mash", as its known here), were fantastic. I spent a grand time at Any Amount of Books: I liked their basement full of books that you'd have trouble finding here in America (I bought a few). We tried, but couldn't get a trip to Hay-on-Wye: it was too expensive; somewhat far, and the route there convoluted. Overall I had a good time in London (not to mention the other two cities).
