The books currently on my shelves, more or less. Most of them are back at my parents' house, because rental accommodation in London is not often suited to hundreds of books.

Writer, traveller, often found in markets. My short fiction and poetry has appeared (or is forthcoming) in Clarkesworld, Fantasy Magazine, The Mammoth Book of Steampunk, The 2010 Rhysling Anthology, EscapePod, Jabberwocky 4, Lady Churchill's Rosebud Wristlet, Electric Velocipede, Sybil's Garage, Cabinet des Fées and Goblin Fruit. A handbound limited edition of my story "Two Coins" has been created by Papaveria Press. The full list of my published work is available on my website.

I graduated in 2007 with a BA in War Studies and History from King's College London, although I spent half of my final year in the Classics department and wandered out with a dissertation in the conquest narrative motifs of Alexander the Great and the Persian and neo-Assyrian Empires. In July 2009 I left my job as a Senior Content Editor for a defence publisher to travel. For over a year I travelled through parts of Greece and Turkey, a lot of Australia and 10 Asian countries. (Don't ask which is my favourite.) Now I'm working for an online marketing company in London.

I like to read and wander.
