My library encompasses my personal and professional, beginning with the children's books that inspired me to love words and images, incorporating my professional books from a career as an English professor, and including an ever-expanding collection on all things related to history, archaeology, travel, and culture and social life of the British Isles. Some titles are rather esoteric in areas such as medieval wall-paintings, historical cookery, history of the English language, late medieval domestic architecture, and other unexpected subjects.
