There is a thin line between my library and my bookshop but I do have a few hundred books I'd be loathe to part with. I currently have around 8000 or 9000 books and I only wish I could read them all. My best pieces include 1sts of Pooh, House at Pooh Corner and Now we are Six, All 7 original volumes of Howard Carter's paintings of the reliefs at Deir el Bahri, and lots of signed Le Carre and Elizabeth Peters firsts.

I read mostly non-fiction, listen to mostly fiction, have a small bookshop I run out of my basement and record books for the blind in my copious spare time. My favorite genres are Egyptology, early children's books, anything illustrated by Rackham and Dore; favorite authors include Le Carre, Elizabeth Peters, Philip Pullman, A.A.Milne, J.K.Jerome, Marjorie Allingham, Dan Simmons, Stephen Donaldson and Enid Blyton.
