Über michI am an undergraduate student in history at Montana State University, and my focus is the history of science. Of particular interest is Darwin, evolutionary theory, and the history of natural history. These interests are well-reflected in my library catalogue, which at the moment (10/26/07) is far from being complete.
UPDATE (1/2/09): My wife and I purchased a library-style barcode scanner, which has made the task of adding books to my library very simple. Expect to see many additions in the weeks to come!
Über meine BibliothekI continue to add books to my library on a regular basis. Thrift shops and library used book sales are dangerous places for me to be. I know I will never be able to read every book I own, for as David Quammen writes in The Boilerplate Rhino, "Of course anyone who truly loves books buys more of them than he or she can hope to read in one fleeting lifetime. A good book, resting unopened in its slot on a shelf, full of majestic potentiality, is the most comforting sort of intellectual wallpaper." I like to think that although I may never read a particular book, there is the possibility of my accessing information from it if I ever needed to.
