I have a bunch of art books. A bunch of fiction and a lot of books about Christianity and slowly adding more books about Catholicism. A smattering of history, philosophy and non-fiction. I am drawn to books that speak to our unique spiritual condition as human beings. My guilty pleasure is crime fiction. I check a lot of books out of the library so some of these listed I don't actually own but have read.

I'm 56, husband (20 years of marriage), father of one 14 year old daughter. I work at the University of Texas Harry Ransom Center, an archive of rare books (1.1 billion dollars worth!! which includes a Gutenberg Bible) . I also am a painter. We live in the country about 25 miles east of Austin, TX USA. We raise chickens, goats and garden. I am a Catholic convert. I love to read and have been in the same Men's book group for over 20 years.
