My personal (physical) library is huge! However, this site is a fun way to sift through some of my collection and pick up those books and authors that have meant the most to me, and which I return to time and time again. Favourite authors include Ian McEwan, Patrick McGrath, Iain Sinclair, Paul Auster, Rose Tremaine and Peter Ackroyd.

In my day job I am an information professional who is learning about Web 2.0 technology. When off duty I am a keen reader with two higher degrees in English Literature, and find it difficult to give up the delightful habit of reading. Joining this site is a good way of sharing that enthusiasm for literature, and I love the interface with Amazon and author profiles. I think it could become addictive.
