I have maybe a thousand volumes; 250 of those related to Africa--history, textbooks, photo books, past literature and current novels. Another 200 or do devoted to firearms, hunting and wildlife. Sixty or eighty leather-bound volumes; a shelf of books by personal friends including my own; reference books on many subjects; and popular novels. One short shelf of "To Read."

Traveled a bit--six continents, six dozen countries. Big game hunter. Former U.S. Navy. Former technical writer/editor. Former staff editor with two national magazines. Published some 400 articles and seven books. Currently an independent book editor. Born, barely, in Arkansas, enroute to Kentucky; left there on high school graduation day for California; finally found Arizona where I should have been all along.
