Kevin Funk is a native of the Pennsylvania Dutch heartland city of York, and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with degrees in political science and journalism. An activist and political commentator, he writes frequently on US foreign policy.

Kevin Funk has been researching, writing, and speaking about the Darfur crisis since 2006. His works have been published widely. Together with Steven Fake, he is co-author of the new book, "The Scramble for Africa: Darfur-Intervention and the USA."
