My fantasy library includes all the important works in all the genres that interest me- my actual library is much smaller. I tend to use libraries more than buy books new. And I love finding second-hand copies of out-of-print books!

Lived in London for a long time, now in Los Angeles. Have traveled alot, favourite cities: London, Paris, Nice, Algiers. Have an Eng. Lit. degree and taught same subject at university level. Research interest: Jack the Ripper(in fiction and non-fiction). Like reading Crime/Detective Fiction, True-Crime, !9th. C British and French Novel (particularly Fin de Siecle/Decadent), Steampunk, Fantastic Fiction (as opposed to Fantasy with elves, dragons and wizards) and Historical/ Gaslight Fiction. Oh, and I have a fondness for Neil Gaiman's Sandman graphic novels.
