Über meine Bibliothek
I can't get enough books about Abraham Lincoln, but you'll also find many books about my other passion, the history and literature of Illinois.

I've also got a number of motivational books. (After all, I need people to propel me toward my dreams.) And, I'll never lose my affection for the work of Richard Bach, the man who gave wings to Jonathan Livingston Seagull and inspires readers to soar.
Über mich
I'm a Lincoln and Midwest regional literature/history enthusiast. During the Lincoln Bicentennial, I shared my passion for the life and legacy of Abraham Lincoln through my blog and Twitter. I have also shared it through book reviews, freelance articles and speeches.

I savored numerous opportunities during the bicentennial to attend Lincoln scholarly events. I also helped to copy edit a book and served as a historical advisor on a film about the 16th President.

I can't remember a time when I wasn't mesmerized by the Lincoln legend and attribute my passion to being born a block from the site of the 1858 Galesburg Lincoln-Douglas debate at Knox College's Old Main. I think the wind blew some Lincoln dust my way in the mid-20th century when air conditioning was not common and hospital windows were opened for a cool prairie breeze.

Whether you're just beginning to explore Lincoln's life or a Lincoln buff, too, join me in learning more about the prairie president. Though I rarely update my Lincoln Buff 2 blog these days due to other obligations, you'll find lots of great resources at http://lincolnbuff2.blogspot.com/. I'm also on Twitter at http://twitter.com/lincolnbuff2.

These days, though, you'll find me musing about nearly anything, including life in Illinois (my native state) and Missouri (my new home state). Please visit my latest blog, Musings on Route 66 (http://musingsonroute66.blogspot.com/).
