- My library (biblioteka) is about the books I have and read (unless it specifies otherwise, the books I read but which I do not have (but hope to have), and the books I am looking forward to reading. All books, except where mentioned, are on my bookshelves at home or in the dacha.

- Before I could read my imagination floated in the universe all of my making. It was a lovely universe but by the nature of my years, limited. Then I learned to read and entered the limitless world of books. As a teenager, I had to learn another language in order to access books available in my 'new country'as life without words was at times unbearable... These days I wish I could read books in their original language. I have had read translations and original editions of many a book. The original feels different, less artificial or distant...
