Über meine Bibliothek
Mostly I read novels. Genre isn't very important to me, but as far as it goes, I like fantasy, postmodernism, and period pieces, the Enlightenment and Jazz Age especially. Current favorites include Haruki Murakami, Neal Stephenson's Baroque Cycle, and F. Scott Fitzgerald's short stories.
For non-fiction, I like linguistics, language, geography, and history -- history more with an eye to culture, religion, and migrations than politicians and wars. In linguistics, I'm interested in semantics (the cognitivist approach in particular), syntax, and the Afro-Asiatic and Uto-Aztecan families. I also don't know as much about the Sino-Tibeto-Burman or whatever they're calling it family as I'd like; maybe the Tai-Kadai too, but I have to do more reading.

EDIT: Ran out of room, too cheap to upgrade. Well, what's there's most of it, I think.
