Über meine Bibliothek
The Martha's Vineyard Hebrew Center Library is a vibrant collection of current and historical material based on Jewish themes easily accessible by the entire congregation and to islanders in general interested in Jewish literature.
Über mich
The Martha's Vineyard Hebrew Center invites all Islanders, year-round and seasonal residents and vacationers, to participate in its activities. Although we were founded in 1940, our rapid growth to 350 family units has taken place since we moved into our new building in 1996. We have year-round religious, educational, cultural, and social programming. Our services are designed to appeal to a broad spectrum of liberal practices. The congregation considers itself Reform, but uses Reconstructionist Shabbat and High Holiday Prayer Books.

Religious school meets on Wednesday and Friday afternoons and services are Friday evenings and Saturday mornings. During the summer months, the MVHC Summer Institute presents films of Jewish interest on Sunday evenings, and a lecture series by prominent visitors on Thursday evenings. All of our programs and events take place in the Harriet B. Freedberg Learning Center unless otherwise noted.
