I often say I like the three Cs best: comedy, crime and classics.

Non-fiction is also great fun as non-fiction is often stranger than fiction.

I don't buy many books for lack of space. Most of those I buy are non-fiction - about food, food history, food for health, anti-ageing, the English language, culture shock books, French and Spanish grammar books, fairy tales and pulp fiction such as The Saint and James Bond books.

Reading has always given me the greatest pleasure ever since I was first able to read. I like to finish about 2 books a week.
