Über meine Bibliothek
I enjoy reading books that make me laugh or cry, such as David Sedaris or Anita Shreve; any book about a dysfunctional or imperfect family, that finds their new beginning after grief or despair interests me. YA literature appeals to me for much the same reason, where a likable character overcomes angst and utter despair to find themselves in the end, despite seemingly insurmountable obstacles. Plus, I read a plethora of home design books, such as A Pattern Language, Bungalows, Taunton Press books, etc.. Then there are the how-to art books from favorite authors such as Claudia Nice and Maggie Price; most of those are from the North Light Book Selections. The remainder of my library is self-improvement/self-help, budget travel guides, or books that explore our natural surroundings, such as topics in Botany or Geology.
Über mich
I'm a mom to four teens/young adults, a full-time architectural drafter, hobby writer, and part-time college student during the evenings and weekends. I'm an avid reader and flawed, so books are a guiding light that helps me find my way.
