June 1, 2006: The catalog is very much a work in progress. There are still a lot of books that aren't catalogued at all, and even more entries that need to be cleaned up and tagged.

Tagging plans:

Format: manga, comics (books is untagged default)

Category: Generally I'm going to use bookstore categories here, though I'm going to distinguish between more kinds of fiction. (For example, historical fiction won't be lumped in with all other fiction.)

For manga, I'm also going to use manga genres such as shoujo, shounen, shounen-ai, and seinen.

Reading level: Young adult, children's (adult is the untagged default)

Period: old english, middle english, 16th century, 17th century, 18th century, 19th century, 20th century, 21st century. I'm not going to tag most nonfiction by period.

First read date: Will be accurate for 2004 and later; earlier dates are educated guesses.

Country of origin: Only for literature in translation. Am not going to bother for thing like manga, since it's usually fairly self-evident.
