Über meine Bibliothek
Most of my library is fantasy and character driven science fiction, although there is a fair amount of miscellaneous books on science and true crime. My explorations of pagan spirituality and Christianity have also added to the library, which is growing at a faster pace than I can often afford.

I take fairly good care of my books, so most of them appear relatively new. I also can't stand highlighting in textbooks, so I never do that to any of mine.
Über mich
When I was in kindergarten, the principal at my elementary school ran a reading contest. This continued through my stay in elementary school, with my mother keeping records of every book I read, the author's name, and the number of pages. I was never out of the top ten in either the number of books read or the number of pages read, even though I had switched to adult novels by fifth grade.

I'm now a graduate student at Stanford University, working on my Ph.D. in geology and my master's in material science. Much of my reading is leisure-oriented, since science reading tends to be papers and not textbooks, although I certainly have plenty of those too. I've been hooked on fantasy and character-driven science fiction since I was ten and much of my collection revolves around those. Someday I'd like to write my own novel, as the world-building involved is absolutely fascinating to me.

It helps that I read really fast.
