I have always been a traveller. When I retired l had been to 45 countries. In the past five years l have been to 43 more. I was encouraged by friends to record my travels and have done so by fb posts. Last August l launched Immersed in West Africa which is my story of eight weeks spent largely off the grid in five West African nations where little tourism exists thus the infrastructure is not of the best quality. I enjoyed my journey and l have enjoyed sharing the story.

I am a retired solo traveller. Since 2015 l have been travelling on an eight week cycle. First, l went through Central and South America staying in every country except one. In October, 2017 l moved to Africa and until last December, l had been to 19 countries. Like many others, l am anxious to get back on the road.
