Bürgerlicher Name: Wade Acevedo
Über mich: My name is Wade Acevedo. I am a student at Full Sail University, in Winter Park, Florida. My area of study is show production and touring. I do consider myself a professional Audio Video geek for hire. I have been employed in many capacities within all areas of the entertainment industry; from producing informative videos about products, to short form commercials. From running video sound or lights for theatrical events to stage managing and working to bridge the gap between creative and the technology as technical director. From video, radio, television, theatre, corporate to private I’ve worked them all.

When I was younger I had a love for computers and consumer electronics, and felt that that was an area I wanted to work in. I joined the computer club at school and started that path towards being a computer technician. At the same time however my parents would take me to Disney in Orlando, and I developed a love for the magic behind making the show happen. Back home I would participate in school theater productions, starting onstage then working my way backstage, ultimately making it to stage manager for the school production of The King And I. While attending community college I was offered an internship at a local theater, later I was promoted to the deck master position. At this position I learned how I could combine my love for the magic of theater with the science of computers, through this new era where new technical aspects are being incorporated into modern theater.

I was born in Shelby North Carolina but lived most of my live in Key West Fl. The community is very small, everyone knows everyone. Over my time there I developed a reputation as the person to call when you needed A/V help. I can remember being in school and getting called out of one class to go to another and fix the TV or computer in there. Technology is something that has always come naturally to me. Being in Key West gave me many experiences that I could never have had anywhere else, and would never give back. I have had the opportunity to work with some truly amazing and talented individuals, but I quickly reached a pinnacle there. I needed to grow as a professional and a person, which is why I left and went to school. My goals are to grow and learn as much as possible and maybe one day get the opportunity to work for the company that started it all for me.
