Does anyone have any recommendations for books about Antonio Canova? Either coffeetable books or more scholarly.... Thanks!

It's been a while since I've looked at any publications on Canova, but I do remember that the 1992 catalog for the exhibition held at the Correr Museum, Venice and the Gipsoteca Possagno was the most impressive book I could find when I was more up-to-date on him. There probably has been some more recent publications as well, but the 1992 catalog had a generally good text and lots of images, from what I remember. Looking around, it seems to have simply been called "Canova" and was edited by Giuseppe Pavanello and Giandomenico Romanelli (Rizzoli, 1992.) Good luck.
