Does anyone know what ever happened to the Pelican imprint?
I found a bundle (a flock?) of Pelicans at the local charity shop and was struck anew with what an excellent series it really was.

Penguin abandoned Pelican in 1990. Demand declined in the late 1970s after forty years of strong sales and continued to fall thereafter.
