Just thought I'd give a heads up for anyone based in the UK that might enjoy a full day of Anime watching.
Leeds Film Festival's Anime Day is on Friday 19th of November and will be showing a number of films starting at 12 noon and running until 11pm. The films are as follows:
Gintama the Movie
One Piece Strong World
Mardock Scramble
Evangelion: 2.0
Redline
All of these films, with the exception of Gintama, are also being shown on Sunday 21st November. My ticket is booked, anyone else thinking of going? Really looking forward to Redline and Mardock Scramble especially.

Turned out to be a good day overall.
Gintama Movie. I've not seen the series so this came as a pleasant surprise. Guess I'm gonna have to watch that now at some point.
One Piece Movie 10: Strong World: Probably my least favourite of the 5 but still watchable.
Mardock Scramble - The First Compression: This is basically part 1 of 3 and mainly sets the scene for what is to come. It's quite a short movie (66 minutes) and ends at a huge cliffhanger moment. The second film will pick up directly from where this one ends. Definitely has promise.
Evangelion 2.0: It's good to see this on the big screen.
Redline: Imagine the pod race from Star Wars done as a full length anime movie and you'll get the gist of this one. Outstanding animation and a thumping techno soundtrack make this worthy of the cinema experience if you get the chance.

Sounds great, but unfortunately I don't live in the UK.

This years event has come around so any UK folks who might want to see Makoto Shinkai's new movie, Hoshi o Ou Kodomo (Children Who Chase Lost Voices From Deep Below), or the award winning Colorful can do so at the 25th Leeds International Film Festival.
Unfortunately, for me at least, they've split the showings of these films over different days so it doesn't make economic sense for me to go this year. But for anyone who lives a bit closer I thought I'd provide a heads-up.
