Golden Age Women

I just got a lovely 1920 book Old Swedish Fairy Tales that is illustrated by Jeanette Berkowitz. The illustrations are fantastic, art deco with a sort of peasant feel but not exactly Scandinavian.

I have also become very interested in Virginia Frances Sterrett.

I just thought they were illustrators others here might enjoy.

Also....if you can slog through the comments on that post, Someone, who said Sterret was their grandmother's aunt, wrote in (under the name "BJ") and told about finding some of her art in a box.
They said they was going to scan the stuff in when they got a chance....so, hopefully one day.....
