Hi everyone, I'm new to these challenge posts but thought I'd join in. I got through 124 books last year, so I'm aiming for 150 this year. That may be pushing my luck! I'm a very slow reader because I tend to focus on details and pause to think about what I'm reading quite often; therefore I will have to cheat and include audiobooks as well.

I am interested in pretty much all genres, though my favorites are young adult and sci-fi/fantasy.

1. Long Time Coming, by Vanessa Miller

This book is Christian fiction about two women: one upper middle class woman who wants desperately to have children, and one who grew up surrounded by poverty and drugs. Despite misjudging each other at first, they bond over the one thing they care most about: children.

I read this book for an internet book club that I belong to. (I'm trying out a Christian Fiction book club partly because it's a genre I've always avoided.) This is not the type of book I'd normally read, and it was way too preachy for my tastes. But the story was sweet.

2. The Wild One, by Melinda Metz

This is the second book in the Roswell series for young teens. The TV series was based off of these books, although this second book is VERY different from the plot of the TV series. It isn't quality work, but it's cute. Unfortunately, the ebooks of (I'm guessing) the entire series are so riddled with typos that it looks like it was transcribed from a hand-written document by someone who doesn't speak English and can't use spell-check. So I wouldn't read it if I couldn't get it for free!

Hello, and welcome to the group! Good luck with your challenge, 150 is quite a goal. :)

Thanks for the welcome wookiebender. I was originally going to say 125 (which is how I titled my thread) but decided going up to 125 from 124 wasn't really that much of a leap. But because I tend to pepper more meaty readings with a few children's/young adult books they add up after a while!
