identify this painting

Just like the Name that Book group, I'm calling on expertise of the visual arts lovers here.

I don't own this book, so I can't check the credits for the cover painting.

I think it must be by one of the Pre-Raphaelites.

It reminds me so so much of my deceased husband, that I wold love to identify it.

Amazon says it's by Eleanor Fortescue-Brickdale from The Book of Old English Songs and Ballads. Online I find it saying it goes with a poem called "A Sweet Lullaby."

Yes, Amazon "Search Inside" and search access in Google Books can be really handy for that kind of spot research! Sometimes also possible for answering things like tracking down things you read in a library book once... or when a teenager has a question five minutes after bookstores and libraries close....
