Tuesday we got about an inch of snow. Wednesday we got about an inch of ice and another inch of snow on top. :( And today we got another 3 inches of snow. Bleh!

Anyone else impatient for winter to be over?

We have well over a foot in Boston. The problem is none of the sidewalks are clear so I've been running indoors. It's awful. :(

Yes! The track has been a lost cause for three weeks, some streets on my regular route are dangerously narrowed by mounds of snow, and today the "freezing rain mist" and "ice pellets" added a slippery sheen to all exposed surfaces.

2 (lemontwist): Ugh, the treadmill. That's how I got through last winter, and I hated it. This winter I've forced myself outside. Thanks to a flexible work schedule, I've been able to find three to four times each week when it's somewhat less awful than other times.

Had about a foot of snow that was compacted to probably 4 or 5 inches and then got 13 more overnight Tuesday. I love Winter! (I shovel snow, too.) Of course, I love Spring and Autumn and Summer, too. My philosophy in life: Wherever you go, there you are!

Not much snow here in Australia. Temperature's been in the high 30s in Canberra for the past week (that's about 100° F). Lots of floods, cyclones, more floods and bushfires in this part of the world at the moment, though mostly not too close to here, thankfully.

Hello - just found this group today.

My Uncle lives in Australia gimboid13, and have been sorry to read/hear about the troubles "down under."

USA, Maine has too much snow. I have also been running indoors except for weekends. It has been melting this week though!

Been a while since I've dropped by. Snow? Luckily not here in Phoenix, AZ. Still it must be in the 50's outside though so I ran a 2 hour run on the treadmill this week.

If it were in the 50s I think I would be running in shorts. :-D

9: I had exactly the same thought. 50s is as good as it gets around here, and we pass through briefly in the spring and fall. The rest of the year is either too cold or too hot.

Getting another 8 to 10 inches of snow today. I'll be watching the movie version of Patriot Games by Tom Clancy while running this weekend.

10 > I've decided mid-50s is my favorite running temp as well. Anything above requires me to remove more clothes than is decent or possible. In the 40s the capris and long sleeves come out. 30s I wear long pants and maybe a windbreaker. 20s means a balaclava. Anything below I just have to grin and bear it. :)
