What and where ...

This thread is designed to supplement two earlier ones about what and where people are studying. People don't have to put details of both if they don't want to.

I'm doing a PhD at the University of Bath. I started out my university life as a chemist but I'm now in a humanities and social sciences faculty looking at how to understand effectiveness of international regimes that control materials and technologies that can have hostile as well as peaceful uses.

I'm studying for my MSIT. It appears if I want to advance from where I'm at another degree is the fastest way to get there.

#3 readafew...where are you studying for your MSIT? I recently completed my MSC-IS through Athabasca University (online) which sounds similar

I found the degree courses that I took to be fascinating and something I could really dive into. They definitely take you to places that you would not ordinarily get to with standard research.
The difficult part hit when I started the Thesis portion. That took over a year to complete.

Thanks, and I hope so. Some of the classes I'd really like to take I won't be able to. Scheduling and cost. Maybe after my degree, I'll see if I can take one or two of those classes later, when I have a little more money.

Library Thing must have read my mind because this was my top recommended group today so I joined. I'm working on my PhD in electrical engineering at a large university in Boston. Contrary to popular belief, this does not qualify me to wire a house. :)
